At Mysore raja time this place was built. Mysore Raja 10th wodeyar time (1885-1897) this dam was built. This dam built 10 years, by Hiriur Marikanve dam.
To make this place sweeter, the sai baba temple also constructed. There is also a park near another mountain, from this park, the dam looks amazing.
