Seebi Narasimha Swamy Temple Info

Seebi (spelt as Sibi) Narasimha Swamy temple is located in a small village called Seebi, Located around 20 kilometers to the north of Tumkur district in Karnataka (towards sir). Seebi is 24 km from the south of Sira. This quiet temple can be easily missed when you are coming from Tumkur, and This temple looks very plain and deceptively simple from the outside. Still, it holds your breath, for the beautiful stucco figures on the parapet will defy everything that you might imagine to see inside. Paintings bountifully cover walls and ceilings. The majority of pictures are in a sad state; some still carry the tinge of delicacy and softness. The paintings take historical themes of Ramayana, Mahabharatha, and Dashavatara and are very similar to pictures in Daria Daulat Bagh, Srirangapatna.

Narasimha Swamy is the presiding deity, we can also see goddesses Mahalakshmi and Chenchulakshmi here. Water Tank (Kalyani) called Gaja Pushkarini is near this wonderful temple. people say that the Gajendra Moksha episode happened over here.
