Jayamanghali forest is located in Tumkur district, Next to maidenahalli a small village in Madhugiri Taluk. Landscape Naturalists worked hard to have areas notified as protected Areas called wildlife sanctuary (1997). This helped the Karanataka forest department to source the area and recommended area as a “conservation reserve”. The area of the reserve is around 798 acres with the largest population of blackbucks, Acacia, and Eucalyptus plantations.

Flora and Fauna at Jayamangali Blackbuck Reserve
More than 80 species of plants are there in this area, This reserve has the second largest population of black bucks in karanataka, In the year of 2002, 800 black bucks were recorded. Apart from Black buck there are many other animals, like 67 varieties of butterfly, mammals, bat etc… Reserve is delight for wild life enthusiasts.
